Help? Pretty please? Checkboxes w/ DragNDrop conundrum

Hopefully this is in the right forum category, because, in all honesty, I'm not too sure.
Anywho, here's my problem you guys, and anyone who can help I'll be very very VERY greatful to!

I'm currently at work on a website project of mine. (A LOT bigger and more ambitious than I'm use to, so I'm sort of lost at the moment Sad

I'm aiming for a 2 page project.

I want the first page to have multiple checkboxes and options, pretty much like this.

And then, on the next page, after clicking the 'submit' or 'go to next page' button, they will have only those images that were selected load so they can be draged and dropped on a central box like this. (And I want this done WITHOUT needing Flash, JavaApplet, or Macromedia being installed on my website. That's mainly b/c I'm on a free server and they don't really allow those, and they're pretty much over my head anyways.)

(Basically you get the idea. A drag and drop images "game" page.)
Now I have the codes for the drag and drop images, and I'm sure I can find the ones for the checkboxes somewhere.
I just have NO idea on how to integrate the selected/checkmarked pics to display on the drag and drop images page. (And perhaps I'm going about this wrong by having an example of each separate page I want and then trying to find a way to bring them together, instead of first finding away to bring them together. Question

)
(First page will be click the boxes of pictures you want to use, Second page will be only those selected images so you can drag and drop.)
Can anyone help me out here? ~*gets on knees and pleads*~ I'd really, super, deeply appreciate any help! Pretty please???

And, in case you're wondering, the reason I want to do it like this is because I know once I finish I'll have easily 1,000 little pictures that will be on display to choose from.
I don't want someone only wanting to use 20 or 30 little pictures to drag and drop having to wait for hundreds of different pics to load, which may not end up loading, or may result in a 'page error' page. (>__< grr I've had to sit through that too much and I don't want anyone else to go through that stress.)
