I would like to create simple html emails. But I do not know nothing about html. I would like to learn html just to create simple emails. Is there any tutorial available in books or in the web?

Hi Sergio,

You can use this url to learn HTML very quick.

HTML examples
http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_examples.asp

You learn everything by example here. They explain about every HTML tag and what you can do with it. But the best part is that you can try everything out online. You can edit the examples and preview the HTML example.

But you can't use every HTML tag to use it for creating a HTML email. This is restricted. Especially is you're sending this to webmail clients like Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, Lycos, etc.

Here is an article I've written that will help you to create HTML emails that will be displayed correctly by most email programs (outlook, thunderbird, etcl.) and webmail clients:

Hi I was just reading your article about HTML email campaigns - that is all the info I have always been looking for your GREAT, I have a few clients that want to send out their own campaigns without spending monthly fees just a one time set up of the layout, and I think your info will work for them. Thanks
You would not happen to know of a free Client Management System or a chunk of code to let them edit 1 page of their website - writen in html could be changed to PHP
thanks

Hi weblite,

I'm glad the article helped you out.

And I think what you mean with your last question is a CMS (Content Management System). Although it is off topic, here are 2 open source CMS that you can use. I would recommend the first one:

Mambo
http://www.mamboserver.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=35&Itemid=116

Try the Mambo Demo
http://www.mamboserver.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=35&Itemid=116

TextPattern
http://textpattern.com/

Mambo or TextPattern need to installed en configured by someone who knows PHP/MySQL. Then it can be used by a common user who doesn't know PHP/MySQL.
